The site was started by Carolina Pit Masters Barbecue Cooking School Founder and three time SC State BBQ Champion Jack Waiboer along with Country Radio DJ and BarbecueTricks.com Founder Bill West. Both hosts have a passion to help share some knowledge they have been collecting while hanging around America’s best Pit Masters. In 2010 they launched a weekly podcast called GRATETV and really started to build a tribe of fans. Says West, “The show is exactly a beer in length and is all about BBQ, recipes, learning, and a low and slow good time.”
Bill West lives in Mount Pleasant, SC with his wife MJ and 12 year old son Jack and has been known to shoot random food on his Canon T3i.
Jack Waiboer co-host of GrateTV lives in North Charleston with wife Mary and travels across the country for Kraft Foods representing the best in BBQ and his Carolina Pit Masters Barbecue Cooking School.
